PURPOSE | The Seat at the Table Series is bridging the connection gap for women in STEM worldwide. This virtual monthly series allows women to share their accomplishments, connect across regions, and build networks that advance their professional journeys. By curating intentional introductions and creating intentional spaces for dialogue, this Series strengthens your MEMBER EXPERIENCE and drives global exposure.  Participants elevate their profiles, advocate for themselves, and join a powerful movement to ensure that no woman is left behind.

 

WHY IT MATTERS | Women in STEM face challenges in self advocacy, gaining visibility and recognition for their contributions. The Seat at the Table Series addresses these challenges by curating a supportive environment where women showcase their achievements and connect with peers across borders. This platform ensures the voices of women in STEM are heard and celebrated worldwide.

 

HOW IT WORKS | The Series convenes monthly virtual forums of 6 STEM women to share their achievements, and aspirations. Participants are invited to follow up with at least one new connection after each session, strengthening relationships beyond the virtual space. Athena moderates these 1-hour forums, ensuring every voice is heard and engagement is meaningful. Additionally, self- and peer-nomination processes allow new participants to take the spotlight in each session, further enriching the diversity of voices and shared experiences.
