Unconscious Bias: Making the Unconscious Conscious

Carolina Bravo-Karimi, Managing Partner at Wilson Turner Kosmo LLP and Viviane Pourazary Windmiller, Senior Director, General Practice and Regulatory at Illumina, will guide participants through an interactive workshop that will explain the many forms of unconscious bias.  Through the discussion of several studies, participants will learn how unconscious biases, if left unchecked, may negatively influence workplace decisions and interactions.  The workshop will also provide participants practical strategies to both recognize and interrupt unconscious biases, which is essential to reduce their negative impact and to foster respectful and inclusive environments.
