About the Event

Presented by Athena's Signature Series Committee.

Join us November 17 to learn how to combat the alleged “She’s Not Strategic” Syndrome (SNS) and understand why this difference occurs, and how it can be removed. Research indicates women generally outperform their male counterparts on most leadership competencies yet, are perceived by their managers as not being as adept at strategic thinking, as their male counterparts.

Today, women comprise nearly half of the U.S. workforce but represent only 26% of the STEM workforce. As we continue up the corporate ladder, we find only 25% of STEM management positions and 5% of public company CEOs are held by women. As women are known for excelling at executing, they are tasked with more and more deliverables. Consequently, women lack the space and time to be more strategic and are seen as suffering from the alleged SNS syndrome.

If you’re tired of being passed up for that promotion or being told you need to develop more skills, only to find a man of comparable skills to get it, join this timely program and learn how to lead with strategic intention and authority.
