The Athena Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Athena, dedicated to removing financial and structural barriers for women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through scholarships, mentorship, and community investment, the Foundation ensures the next generation of women leaders has the support it needs to thrive.

Investing in the next generation

Each year, the Athena Foundation awards five Pinnacle Scholarships to outstanding San Diego County high school seniors who are pursuing STEM degrees at accredited colleges and universities. Recipients are selected for their academic achievement, leadership potential, and commitment to advancing women in STEM fields.

Beyond financial support, each Pinnacle Scholar is paired with an Athena Foundation board member who serves as a dedicated mentor throughout their undergraduate journey – providing guidance on academic decisions, career exploration, and professional development.
