JOB SUMMARY | Athena’s Director, Member Success & Data Analytics will bring 4-6 years of experience in member-related sales and CRM management; and report to the CEO. This role requires a leader to drive member and corporate engagement across our 800+ member portfolio, 50 corporate partner portfolio, and custodian of the member database. The candidate will play a market-facing role and embody Athena’s leadership values of projecting confidence, career, and community. The successful candidate will join a small but high-performing team with a penchant for excellence in execution and a client-centric approach while enjoying an empowering culture code. Candidate will also work with a highly engaged Board of Directors representing 20 global science and tech companies.

Corporate Partnership

  • P&L responsibility for Corporate Partnership program with oversight from CEO ensuring delivery of corporate partnership deliverables.

  • Effectively liaise with Corporate Partners and Members to optimize their engagement, including leading new member orientations, issuing data-driven partner engagement analytics, and leading membership management.

  • Assist in the development of corporate partnership deliverables that align with client DE&I needs and leverage Athena’s leadership development content offerings.

  • Maintain corporate partner portfolio with frequent engagement and data analytics and services assessments.

  • Consult on marketing strategies with Head, Digital Communications in alignment with overall partnership goals and objectives.

Member Success, Recruitment, and Retention

  • Oversee 800+ member portfolio and recruitment strategy for prospective members.

  • Make recommendations for the direction of member services that align with Athena’s core strategic objectives.

  • Increase the value of membership by driving and capturing member engagement.

  • Conduct data analytics to inform strategy on membership offerings and corporate partner growth strategy.

  • Attract new members and increase member retention through targeted digital marketing, thematic membership campaigns and tracking analytics in collaboration with head of digital communications.

Organizational Strategy and Support

  • Play a key role in developing and achieving the organization’s overall strategic plan, initiatives, and adherence to core values.

  • Cultivate, develop and steward Athena’s alliances and partnerships.

  • Articulate, track and assess progress to development and membership goals and maintain strong operational systems for efficient and effective team execution.

  • Represent the organization with highest standards of professionalism in dealings with membership, sponsors, community partners, and the public.

  • Show utmost trustworthiness, holding in strictest confidence information regarding the board, organization, membership, financials, etc.

Technical Qualifications:

Applicants for this position will bring the knowledge, abilities, and attitude in the areas:

  • Experience with CRM, preferably Wix.

  • Zoom, Outlook, and Canva proficiency a must

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent business administration skills, including the ability to manage many projects simultaneously and set/achieve priorities

  • Experience as a self-starter working in a deadline-driven environment

  • Commitment to women’s empowerment values

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people inside and outside the organization

  • Ability to pick up new software platforms quickly

  • Attention to measurable results

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work occasional nights at industry events

  • Willingness to travel occasionally, as needed

Job Type: Full-time; San Diego/UTC/Remote
