On average, U.S. employees spend 2.1 hours per week involved with conflict, which amounts to approximately $359 billion in costs. Research shows that 60 to 80% of those difficulties in organizations stem from strained relationships between employees, not from deficits in individual employee’s skill or motivation. Yet we can feel angry, hurt, resentful, and stressed when we clash, and all too often, we point fingers at people we find difficult, which entrenches us even more in conflict. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be this way. In this experiential workshop, you’ll learn to identify power dynamics in life and work, so you can transform them. You’ll also learn to quickly diagnose the role you're playing in a conflict and discover approaches you can use to remedy conflict situations in a way that empowers everyone to achieve collaborative “power with,” rather than “power over.”
