
Charity R. Williams represents both public and privately held companies in general corporate matters as well as a wide range of transactions, including venture capital financings, licensing and commercial agreements, and mergers and acquisitions. She also has experience representing issuers and underwriters in public offerings and advising companies on SEC reporting obligations.
Prior to rejoining Cooley, Charity ran her own practice representing life science and technology companies in corporate and intellectual property litigation matters and was chief business officer and in-house counsel for Catheter Connections, a medical device developer based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Before her work at Cooley, Charity served as the interim CEO of Veritract, a startup medical device company. She was also a senior associate at the University Venture Fund, where she executed life science venture capital and growth equity investments. Charity also served as an associate at the Lassonde New Venture Development Center, where she led her team to win the Life Sciences Grand Prize at the Carnegie Mellon McGinnis Venture Competition. She is also a recipient of an In-Awe Award from the Medical Marketing Association.
While attending the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, Charity was elected to the Order of the Coif and is a member of the Utah Law Review.
