General Summary
The Talent Development Consultant role will be responsible for advancing talent programs and designing solutions to propel the business forward through unlocking employee potential. S/he will take a collaborative, data-driven approach to designing talent and leadership programs that accelerate the development of Qualcomm’s Partners and strengthen leadership pipeline.
As one of the leaders of the Talent Development team’s HR community of Practice, s/he will collaborate with the Talent Development Lead to design, implement, and drive adoption of inclusive talent programs and practices that focus on leadership development, high-potential development strategies, talent management and succession planning. The Talent Development Consultant will report into the Talent Development Consultant Engineering Lead.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in the implementation of talent development strategy • Serve as a resource in facilitation, learning, training, and organizational listening as well consulting around other areas of organizational effectiveness • Surface development needs and collaborate with the community of practice and business partners to identify solutions • Provide coaching and training in areas such as mentoring and team effectiveness • Identify and develop the most impactful delivery methods to meet desired learning outcomes • Review available data and analytics to evaluate and assess talent management effectiveness and adapt based on industry trends, leading practices, and business needs • Design programs and experiences to accelerate the development of high potential senior leader cohorts and increase exposure to Executive leadership • Use data and trends to identify participants for trainings and summits • Assist in implementing an effective succession planning approach to identify, develop, and move successors within the organization to strengthen the leadership pipeline and reduce risk
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors, See the required degree associated with years of work experience
Work Experiences:
7+ years of Talent Development, Human Resources, or related work experience. with Associate's degree.
5+ years of Talent Development, Human Resources, or related work experience.
9+ years of Talent Development, Human Resources, or related work experience. with High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors - Business, Bachelors - Human Resources, Bachelors - Organizational Development, Bachelors - Psychology
Work Experiences:
7+ years of Talent Development-related work experience.
