General Summary
The Sr. Director of Global Compensation drives the strategy related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of compensation programs and plans. Supporting over 45,000 employees in over 40 countries, this dynamic role will collaborate with global HR and management colleagues to develop consistency in global compensation solutions to support various HR initiatives in alignment with our business growth strategy. This role will report to the Vice President of Total Rewards Management with total ownership of our compensation and equity programs. This is a hands-on, people manager role with a strong ideation, analysis, and execution focus. This role will oversee regional compensation teams to create global processes and programs that position Qualcomm competitively and to aid talent attraction and retention. This role will collaborate with Legal, Finance, Tax, and Internal Audit teams to ensure compensation programs are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to EEO, OFCCP, ADA, and employment/immigration laws.
This candidate will bring 10 years of experience with increasing responsibility in compensation management. S/he will be a strategic solution provider and expert advisor to HR business partners; combining in-depth knowledge of compensation principles, understanding of the business needs and market landscape, and associated detailed analysis/models. Responsibilities:
Direct and manage the design and implementation of all compensation programs globally, including base pay, annual incentive plans, and equity plans.
Lead all aspects to establish salary structures, develops salary budgets, and prepares policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of equitable and attractive employee compensation.
Evaluate the effectiveness of existing compensation programs and policies to ensure they are both market competitive and cost-effective, aligned with corporate goals, and in compliance with applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.
Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy for compensation philosophy and programs. Identify opportunities to improve employee engagement and retention. Educate and coach management on compensation programs and practices.
Lead and develop the compensation team to provide consultation, training and support to HR partners and the business.
Lead and drive the compensation design, planning, communications, and administration of the annual compensation review process.
Play a key role in the discussion surrounding the evolving regulatory environment, including pay equity, and its impact on compensation practices, to help design and implement revised policies and procedures and governance processes as appropriate.
Partner with Talent Acquisition in developing competitive compensation packages for key/critical executive candidates.
Lead the direction for incentive and equity plan design and administration.
Lead compensation work streams in M&A activities.

Physical Requirements:
Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:

Work Experiences:
12+ years of Compensation, Human Resources, Finance, or related work experience.
14+ years of Compensation, Human Resources, Finance, or related work experience. with Associate's degree.
16+ years of Compensation, Human Resources, Finance, or related work experience. with High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Experiences:
14+ years of Compensation work experience. with Bachelor's degree.,5+ years of utilizing Compensation-related systems/tools (e.g., Advanced Excel, Workday, Tech Industry Surveys, etc.). ,6+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above). ,6+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,2+ years working with operating budgets and/or project financials. ,3+ years in a leadership role with direct reports.
Certifications:
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) - Any
