This position can be for San Diego or remote.
We are looking for a social media community manager to join the digital marketing team. This position would manage the day-to-day operations of our social media channels. The ideal candidate will have experience engaging with fan communities, writing and responding to social media posts, and working on corporate social campaigns. Reporting to the Manger of Social Media, the right candidate must have the ability to quickly identify engagement opportunities and be able to translate brand messages into social friendly comments.
Monitoring brand channels on Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram – and recommending appropriate engagements
Responding to social inquiries and replies, writing and editing social copy as appropriate, and drafting responses that follow the tone/voice and brand guidelines
Strategically following and engaging with customer, partner influencer, and media accounts
Surfacing trends from within the community and communicating insights to the team
Training internal team members on community management triage process, and getting answers from technical experts from the product teams
Social channel maintenance, including regularly updating profiles (photos, bios, etc.)
3+ years of social media experience working on corporate brand channels
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience managing social communities on Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram for a large corporation – tech industry experience a plus
Experience working with a social media management system - Sprinklr experience a plus
Copywriting skills and the ability to understand what content works on social media
Solid project management skills & strong attention to detail
Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours as needed
Responsive, responsible, and able to use data to make smart decisions
Willingness to learn and interest in problem-solving
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
