Qualcomm is looking for an experienced attorney for its corporate legal department in San Diego, California. The successful candidate will focus on providing strategic legal counseling to Qualcomm’s business, procurement and contracts teams in order to identify and mitigate global legal risk, primarily in connection with vendor relationships. This position handles a wide variety of matters, including negotiating, drafting, and analyzing various types of agreements such as marketing, professional services, technology licensing, engineering services, software-as-a-service, hardware and equipment, and evaluation agreements. This position will be a key resource to Qualcomm’s global procurement and sourcing teams.

Juris Doctorate degree or international equivalent.
Active bar license to practice law in the state or jurisdiction where the employee will be practicing (or ability to obtain upon hiring).
2+ years relevant experience as counsel at a law firm or in-house.
Bachelors - Engineering, Bachelors - legal-related field (e.g., Law, Legal Studies, etc.), Masters - Law
1+ years in a leadership role with direct reports in a legal function (only applies to positions with direct reports). ,2+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr. Director level and above). ,4+ years in practice with relevant experience. ,3+ years experience as counsel at a law firm or in-house with a focus on relevant specialty (e.g., technology, real estate).
