Job Function:
The candidate will be responsible for creating company level marketing messaging and associated content related to Qualcomm’s technology vision and focus areas including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The candidate will align content for key Qualcomm initiatives to influence the mobile and broader technology industry and position Qualcomm as a leader in the industry.
Deliverables will be leveraged across Qualcomm to ensure consistent communication through Qualcomm’s marketing channels.
The deliverables will be in various forms, such as presentations, web, written form such as blogs, and visual such as videos to be leveraged on multiple channels such as speakerships, web, and social media and executed through B2B marketing campaigns.
Skills/Experience:
The most important aspect is strong messaging skills, to understand complex topics, abstract the key elements, create concise key messaging, and align the messaging across multiple divisions and disciplines.
The ability to tell a compelling story and express the messaging in various forms such as presentations, videos, blogs, and whitepapers, and the ability to deliver the messages effectively, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Be detailed oriented with strong analytical skills and be able to conceptualize and simplify complex topics.
Ability to move between different complexity levels, from high-level typically used for executive level messaging to mid-level messaging with more proof points and technical depth.
Ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders to maintain messaging consistency. Effectively work across multiple organizations to understand priorities, collect content, and proof points to develop a cohesive and compelling story for the company.
Experience in B2B marketing campaigns and social media, web marketing, and paid media experience is desired.
In-depth knowledge of the wireless industry and/or mobile computing industries is desired but not necessary—excellent knowledge and experience in content creation and strong messaging skills are key. Experience in an adjacent industry is sufficient for a candidate with very strong messaging skills.
Experience in messaging marketing in high tech industries experience. For candidates with no direct marketing experience, previous experience in in product management or engineering could be sufficient.
Responsibilities
Develop and align content and messaging based on Qualcomm’s initiatives and strategic direction
Keep abreast of broad corporate messages, the overall industry as well as high-level divisional/product/technology messages
Manage all aspects of a messaging campaign (content creation, marketing channels, alignment, briefing, speakerships)
Take initiative in identifying key trends in the wireless and mobile computing industry that are relevant and impactful to Qualcomm’s strategic messaging.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
8+ years of experience in Marketing or Product Marketing
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA is preferred
8+ years industry experience in high tech industries
