Qualcomm is looking for a world-class Executive Creative Director to set the creative vision and oversee end-to-end creative development and execution for the company, working with internal talent and external agency partners to build our brands and our business. You will deliver innovative big ideas aligned to strategic priorities and be responsible for leading the development of creative platforms, ideas, and campaigns across brand identity, brand and product marketing, events, partnerships, digital platforms, and content, creating compelling and powerful communications that build our enterprise brand, Qualcomm, and our consumer brand, Snapdragon, across B2B and B2C audiences globally. In addition, you will be the go-to collaborative partner for the company on projects ranging from employer branding to on-site brand experiences.
The ideal candidate will be a demonstrated creative leader with equal commitment to strategy, design, and creative storytelling, well-versed in all channels, seasoned in establishing powerful creative ideas and campaigns that disrupt the market and deliver meaningful impact, and able to scale the work, but not the effort, based on a variety of budget levels. In this role, you will champion the work and be accountable for the results, building an environment of innovation, ongoing learning, and optimization.
As Qualcomm’s creative opportunities, marketing programs, and budgets have grown, we intend to expand our in-house creative, content, and production capabilities to augment external agency partners. As such, key responsibilities for this role will include building out an in-house agency structure and team and identifying, recruiting, and nurturing talent.
The ECD will think strategically and creatively, leveraging data and insights to inspire fresh concepts, design systems, and integrated campaigns. We’re looking for someone with deep experience concepting digital-first integrated campaigns that deliver powerful narratives and compelling calls-to-action at all levels of the funnel and across all channels (digital, content, print, video, social, executive presentations, events, etc.). The ECD will be a critical leader, serving to inspire and influence with insights, but also willing and able to play an active role in the development of work. This role reports directly to the VP, Marcom, and will oversee the brand expression for both Qualcomm and Snapdragon, building the global brands across touchpoints.
Responsibilities:
Set creative vision
Build brand identities, design language, voice, and expression guidelines
Partner with strategy leads to develop unified, single-minded creative briefs that spark ideas
Shape creative strategy and execution with a digital-first mindset
Lead and inspire internal teams and external agency partners from creative strategy through concept ideation, development, and execution
Continuously drive creative and operational excellence across the team to maximize business value
Leverage data and insights to inform creative thinking and problem-solving
Develop strategic, insightful, innovative big ideas and integrated campaigns tied to business priorities
Concept and execute compelling and creative storytelling across touchpoints and platforms from inception through final production
Manage and build internal team, adding resources to enhance capacity and capabilities
Guide, mentor, and manage functions and individuals to get the best work and provide professional growth
Create a culture of creativity, innovation, collaboration
Equally embrace strategy and metrics
Push the level of excellence in all creative work and ensure consistency and cohesion
Partner with regional teams to provide guidance and direction on adaptations and ensure bespoke local efforts are aligned to brand
Oversee all execution, ensuring the highest quality standards
Leverage technology and tools to deploy innovative initiatives
Passionately advocate for the work; equally passionately commit to collaboration
Minimum Requirements:
15+ years of professional experience with at least 10 years working at agencies on B2B and B2C brands; tech experience (enterprise and consumer) strongly desired
8+ years serving in leadership and management roles
Expansive portfolio demonstrating innovation, disruption, and digital-first approach to campaigns, design, brand expression
Preferred Requirements:

Ability to sell ideas; equally adept at listening and responding to feedback
