Qualcomm’s QCT Global Sales Operations Team (GSO) is looking for a Sales Operations Director with a strong background in customer operations and production supply/demand planning. As a senior member of GSO, key responsibilities will include working cross-functionally to obtain alignment on demand forecasting across the product portfolio, providing executive level guidance on customer supply allocation and working with supply chain to secure timely supply.
Position Summary:
This is a highly visible role that will partner with Regional Sales and Customer Service leaders globally in their efforts to manage all supply-related customer escalations and drive sales results. You will collaborate closely with BU Operations, Supply Chain and other QCT organizations focusing on Customer Operations Planning to drive decisions and addressing customer fulfillment concerns. Working directly with customers at various levels is also an important aspect of this role.
We need someone who is excited about helping the GSO team solve some of the most challenging customer-facing operational issues by assisting with decision-making frameworks, providing analytic guidance to support key business decisions, and ensure the rhythm of the business is understood and maintained. You will be at the forefront of helping clarify fast-moving strategic priorities, tackle operational challenges, and enable innovation. You will fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insight from analysis and then communicate your recommendations to leadership. You will work across business units (BUs) to drive strategic customer priorities and help ensure one face to the customers across BUs.
You must also be able to perform and present supply/demand analysis of customer requirements at the individual product or portfolio level. In addition, candidates must be able to quickly learn and adjust to all QCT business applications such as Oracle, Rapid Response, Tableau, and others as they are integrated into the business. Specific responsibilities include:
Managing customer interface and messaging for customer escalations related to supply and fulfillment
Collaborating with BU Operations teams and Product Planners addressing supply/demand related issues to meet customer requirements and manage customer expectations
Understanding product availability impact on customer project plans
Planning and executing periodic business reviews (QBRs) with QCT’s top OEMs
Working with GSO leadership and cross-functional team to maximize process/ productivity effectiveness by identifying and executing operational and strategic initiatives.
Highly driven and self-motivated individual with ability to drive large cross-functional projects
Ability to clearly communicate findings and data-based recommendations to leadership
Ability to execute at a high level in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
Hold people management responsibilities
Excellent written / verbal communication and presentation skills
Proficiency within Excel and PowerPoint
Minimum Requirements:
10+ years of experience in Chipset Planning and/or Supply Allocation
10+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Supply Chain and/or Business Planning
6+ years of experience creating executive-level PowerPoint decks and managing large scale projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Thorough understanding of the semiconductor and/or wireless handset manufacturing industry
Prior Customer Interface, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, Product Management and/or Program Management experience
Proven excellence and polish in managing customer interface on escalations and attention to detail in managing complex customer operational issues
Highly detail and deadline-oriented with strong presentation skills
Ability to drive cross-functional teams to understand product availability and impact on customer supply requests
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (Business, Finance, Supply Chain preferred) or equivalent work experience
Technical or Master’s degree not required, but is a strong plus
